#71 closed enhancement (wontfix)

Replace process-based oqcd/oew in clustering

Reported by: Frank Siegert Owned by: support@sherpa-mc.de
Priority: major Milestone: perfect
Component: Unknown Version: 0.trunk
Keywords: Cc: Stefan Hoeche, Frank Siegert

Description

The reweighting of scales alpha_s(qcut) -> alpha_s(mu_R) in the core process after clustering backwards with the shower could be done in a more robust way then by using the oew/oqcd of the full process and subtracting the couplings found by clustering backward.

This would allow us to completely remove the process-based oqcd and oew.

I can't see at the moment how this could be solved in a generic way. If anyone has any ideas, please reopen the ticket and work on it.
