Description
Hi!
I just noticed that in Sherpa-1.1.2 howto on page 23 is written as an example for the section processes of Run.dat: Process : 93 93 -> 6[a] -6[b] Decay : 6[a] -> 5 -23[c] Decay : -6[b] -> -5 23[d] Decay : -23[c] -> -13 14 I guess, here shall a t decay to a b and a W. But the pdgid of W is 24, whereas 23 means Z according to http://hep45.hep.colostate.edu/~wilson/flc/jas/pid/utils/PythiaParticlePropertyProvider.java http://isscvs.cern.ch/cgi-bin/viewcvs-all.cgi/PartPropSvc/share/PDGTABLE.MeV?revision=1.2&root=Gaudi
So, my question is: Is this only a bug in the documentation, or a bug in Sherpa? Or does Sherpa not follow hep pdgid convention?
Ciao Stephan

Replying to Stephan.Sandvoss@cern.ch:
Hi Stephan,
this is just a typo in our manual, we have been using swapped IDs for W and Z in older versions and this is just a relict, we will correct this asap. The proper IDs for the Z is 23 and the W+- are +-24, as defined by the PDG.
Cheers, Steffen
